Mr. Riera has over 25 years of experience in the international financial industry, particularly in the international wealth management area, including domestic and international broker/dealers, commercial and investment banks and investment advisory firms

His experience includes various senior positions in risk management, compliance, operations and service support areas in different countries (Venezuela, Panama, USA, and Switzerland) working for some of the largest and most successful broker-dealers and private banks in the world, including Merrill Lynch, Wachovia, and First Clearing Corporation, among others. Juan Carlos has served as Chief Compliance Officer, Regional Compliance Director for Latin America, Head of AML, Compliance & Service Manager.

Mr. Riera graduated from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (UCAB) Caracas – Venezuela and completed different management and law programs at the University of Richmond, Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administracion (IESA) and Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mr. Riera is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Professional in Anti-Money Laundering (CP/AML) by the Florida International Banking Association (FIBA).

He is fluent in English and Spanish.
